Default Hotchkis Sway Bars Review

Hotchkis Sway Bars: $333 total free shipping Tirerack.com

Bar Rates: 350Z & 03- 05 G35 Front

Hole 1 = 1525 lbs/in (22% Stiffer than stock)
Hole 2 = 1845 lbs/in (48% Stiffer than stock)
Hole 3 = 2270 lbs/in (82% Stiffer than stock)
Hole 4 = 2855 lbs/in (129% Stiffer than stock)

Rear (all):

Hole 1 = 520 lbs/in (80% Stiffer than stock)
Hole 2 = 655 lbs/in (125% Stiffer than stock)
Hole 3 = 840 lbs/in (185% Stiffer than stock)

The bolded is what I set it at.

Personal Experience: The stock sway bars whenever I usually make hard turns their is usually body roll and understeer.

With the hotchkis, when I corner, i barely feel any body roll, and also it seems like it is more on the oversteer even when I increase speed by 10-20 mph on a corner it is slightly more on oversteer. At higher speeds 60-70 mph and you turn left and right on the freeway the steering seems much more responsive and sharp. The car seems more sure of itself versus before where it seemed like it was adequate on the turns but still struggling.

Cost vs. Performance:

Was it worth the $333 + 70 Install = $403?

Daily Driving = not worth it
Auto X / Track / Mountain Driving = Worth it

The stock sway bars are good enough for daily driving not enough of a reason to blow that type of money.

I bought it because I usually go up into the mountains and turn a lot through corners and it can get scary when you are understeering a lot on corners.

Better get some powergrid endlinks your going to be going right through those stock endlinks. I had my hotchkiss bars on for about 4k miles and then endlinks where like swiss cheese.

I'm in hole #2 rear, #3 front with Powergrid endlinks and that is a great combo IMO. As mentioned above, get the Powergrids if you want a very fine endlink. * By the way, well worth the $$! Don't understand why not for a dd unless you NEVER "hit it", if that's the case why drive a Z?

+1 on the Powergrid endlinks. I've got ~30K on mine now, and they're still tight and silent. I actually bought an extra set when I found them cheap on eBay, and never have had to use them.

Today I got my lower control arm bushings and radius arm bushing done with energy suspension bushings. Man what a difference that made. It was raining so I couldn't drive it aggressive but it made my suspension feel amazing.

That's how mine is setup. I love cornering on the highway and off ramps feels really nice.

Staggered hole 2&3 up front for me, the depending on conditions I will go to 2 or 3. Then I always run hole 1 in the rear and may try the stock rear bar when I get my car back out. Much stiller than 1 and the rear traction really goes to crap.

Just ordered mine from Tire Rack today. Already have my Whiteline endlinks front and rear. Anxious to get them on the car and try them out. Hear nothing but good things. I think Tire Rack is one of the few places that actually have them in stock. And thanks for the help guys. I will have a good starting point for my settings!

Been running Hotchkis sways and love it. I think I will have to replace my stock endlinks soon.

Question: when you say rear hole #2, front hole #3, you meant counting from the end?

Thanks.
