I moved away from San Francisco 3 years ago because I couldn't stand paying $1700/mo for my 2 bedroom apartment in an average neighborhood. Then I moved to Sacramento, and bought a 4 bdrm 2 1/2 bath house. My mortgage is the same as my rent! In two years, the home appreciated 50% (I'm not even kidding), and now I couldn't afford to buy my own house.
I'm not surprised CA has outmigration. It doesn't make a lot of sense anymore to try to make a living here. A bubble is going to burst soon, and the state's going to sink into the Pacific Ocean.
Oh, back to 350z content... If I go with Tein S. Tech, RSR, or Eibach Pro springs, will there be a Koni shock that's designed to go with those stiffer springs? From what I've read in other posts, the Koni has been tested with stock springs, and they work well. Would it be safe to say that those same Koni shocks will work well with other aftermarket springs, or will Koni have spring specific dampers?

It is my understanding the Konis will provide the rebound control I need, but the ride will not be softer, it will still be very firm. Very firm w/o rebound control(now) will change to a well-controlled firm ride.
If you go to a stiffer shock, the Konis will still provide the rebound control you need as you adjust them stiffer. The firm ride from stock springs will just get firmer, but just as controlled. If you wanted to go racing, you could turn up their stiffness to reduce any unwanted compliance. The stiffer you make the shocks, the less compliance you will have, which should help on the track.
Dwnsft or jmark could explain better, especially if I'm wrong which is possible. I think I'm right, but.... You could contact Gordon at Koni's website for the straight scoop. If you read the literature on their website, it seems any spring made for the Z will work with the Konis through their adjustability.
