Default Wheel eating through GKTECH tie rod

Not sure why this is happening all of a sudden, noticed it after I put my BC coils in. The wheel is shaving my tie rod extender down, it’s only on the passenger side. Not sure what I can do to fix this…

It hates that you have the wrong tire size and it's rebelling

First off, your tire shown is a 245/40-18 as everyone can see. But consider two things:

- It didn't scrape ONLY due to the tire being 0.9" too short. You were probably fine until...

- It is most likely a simple matter of your new coilovers dropping the car and changing the suspension angles.

Resolutions: install proper tire size and/or upgrade to larger diameter wheel AND ALIGNMENT. (Assuming you have new adjustable FUCAs to account for drop.)

The tire size was sarcasm.
What is your camber, it looks like you have a lot of aftermarket suspensions/steering parts there.
You say "tie rod extender" are you drifting or turning the car too wide and the wheel is turning too much and hitting the tie rod extender

When setting up suspension I always test at full up and down travel, lock to lock. I have a weird feeling that you may get answers doing this

Well the tire shown is actually a 225-40-18, not a 245. But yeah I figured it was a matter of dropping the car and changing the geometry. Running about 4.5-5° of camber up front, and yes, I’m drifting the car. I solved the problem by running a 1” spacer. Drifted this past Friday-Saturday-Sunday with no rubbing issues, car feels great.

Band-aid would be to wrap the rod in a rubber sleeve so it doesn't chew the rim. If he wants that turn radius and camber then he fixed it imo.
I would def change those extenders though

Yep, got vids on YouTube, Instagram, and tiktok all @1meang. Replaced the tie rod before my event and didn’t have a single scrape all weekend. I’d say it’s more than a band-aid solution got more angle too with the tire not rubbing on my sway bar and chassis at full lock!
