Default FYI- what ball joint removal kits to borrow from AutoZone to remove ball joints

Just wanted to share what kits I had to borrow from autozone to successfully remove and install the lower ball joints on my 2005 350z.

I had to go back several times to rent additional adapter kits.

I think most of these kits are meant for USA cars/trucks.

Here are the kit numbers I used ...it may save you time in getting the right tools.

Really good information! Thanks for sharing! This should get pinned in the DIY - Brakes/Suspension section or under 350Z Tech - Brakes/Suspension section.
Cheers!

Thanks....I looked around for some guidance as to which press kit to use and couldn't find anything so I figured I'd share what I found that works.

Agreed, some helpful info here. Now stickied in Suspension section for those who need a BJ or both. Wait, what? I meant ball joint, ahem. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Thanks that's awesome! The hardest part is finding the adapter that fits around the BJ for removal. My autozone didn't have the adapter kit even though I went to 3 different ones and oreilly's. I ended up making one out of a 2" pipe coupler as someone else mentioned (grind off the threads).
