Default Inside behind seat compartment metal

The car is an 04 350z roadster.

I plan to cut out the metal behind the glove compartment and the metal that holds the rear speakers so i can install a proper audio system.

I am trying to figure out if the parts i am cutting has any real integeral support to the car. Of course im not cutting the roll bar.

If i could cut a hole into the trunk area from the factory sub location, i might not cut it all out. Then i would go infinite baffle.

Anybody that has went down either of these routes that woukd give me some advice.

This is just a daily driver.

The upper visible structure areas are all removable but the lower portion behind the oval shaped access panels contains the two fuel tanks and fuel pumps and sending units.

The steel structure that holds the cubbys and rear speakers do aid with structural support of the FM platform. Particularly with the ZR, you'll want to plan on adding a steel strut bar to reinforce the chassis.
