Will I be happy with drop of the Tein S. Techs?
I've read all the posts regarding springs and the like but wanted to ask a more direct question as I"m sure there are others who are thinking the same thing.
I'm considering the Tein S. Techs for my G35C but I'm not sure if the advertised drop of 0.6/0.7 will be sufficient. I don't want to drop anymore than 1.0 inch because of the camber issues. I don't want to go with coilovers because of 1)cost and 2)i will never need to adjust the ride height as I won't track the car.
Is 0.6/0.7 enough to even notice the car has been dropped? Will I even notice a handling improvement?

I don't think its enough, visually. Go with the Eibach 1 inch drop all around. 1 Inch really isnt that much, and you see that once its installed. Handling is definitely improved either way.

if you don't want too much of a drop
get rsr down springs..
The tein's are nice but if you buy tein you should get their coilovers.
I have the eibach I like the ride very comfortable... but my car is really low... below the rsr downsprings.. I can't get the car on the lift with out using some blocks to raise the car.

I got a friend with G35c, he just installed Tein H.Tech, and he loves it! It does give it a subtle drop, and doesn't require camber kit, and it also improve the ride quality! Sounds like a win win situation!

Here are some pics of the H-Tech (G35) drop:
IMO its a noticable drop even with the H-Techs which is only a .6"/.3" drop. You will definetely notice the S-Tech drop and I personally wouldn't want any more of a drop than that.

Whoa, everyone. G35 aftermarket spring rates are not the same as 350Z aftermarket spring rates. Things you've heard about a given Z specific spring on the Z won't translate the same experience for the G35 owner. Also consider that the G35 get's less aggresive shock valving to. One thing of note, I've spoken to a G35 coupe owner that is running RSR down springs ment for the 350Z on his coupe, he gave them a very good review.
Here's what I mean about aftermarket springs and rates for the Z and the G. Look closely, some G35 rates, are not sensicle in way's that go beyond trying to compinsate for softer shock valving.
Eibach spring rates
350Z 296/384 front 316/421 rear
G35C 229/337 front 274/463 rear
Tein S-tech
350Z 386/402
G35C 358/274
Tein H-tech
350Z 358/375
G35C 324/263

tein S tech on DB Z
I was wondering the same thing so I asked questions. You may judge for yourself regarding appearance by the above pictures.
As for performance... according to Bat the Tein S tech drop improves handling only marginally.
I am like you in that I dont want to go lower than 1" and I didnt want Eibachs because I hear they sag lower than 1 inch.
I decided on B+G springs. 1 inch drop all around, a good rep and only $150 on hopupracing.com
Cant wait!

Thanks for the compliments on the wheels. I think they give the car a little more aggressive look.
