whoah whoah whoah! Docofmind, can you post more pics of the LM rims and possibly a full pic of it with the car? I'm wanting to get these rims too but they weigh quite alot right? around 25lbs for 18x10?? Can you order them in bronze/gold spokes or no?

25 pounds for an 18 x 10 is not heavy for a 3 piece wheel
I will get you more pics soon. The car pictured above is actually an E46 M3. From what I remember my friend telling me, they are available with gold spokes.

yeah but i have track wheels and it wouldn't seem reasonable for me to add 7lbs to each corner....
oh how i dream of the TE37Mag.....
ps: post some pics of the E46 M3 as well with those rims

That being said, the others are correct in that there's no way the LM will clear these brakes. I don't think it even clears the stock brakes on the 350Z Track Model! However, the forged BBS RE in 18x8.5 (front) and 18x9.5 (rear) will easily clear even the Brembo 355mm x 32mm big brake kit.

The additional clearance required for the 14" (355mm) StopTech kit vs. the 12.75" (324mm) factory Brembo kit is in two places:

The barrel of the wheel, since the caliper is at least 15mm further away from the hub.

The back of the spokes where they often (depending on wheel type) begin to curve inward. Since the caliper is located further from the center of the hub, the spokes may interfere with the caliper face, near the top.
Note that the StopTech caliper doesn't stick out significantly more than the Brembo factory caliper. It's just located further out from the hub, since the rotor is 31mm bigger diameter.

thanks for the analysis, great to have the info.
I'm looking to get a second set of 18" wheels for track, while although the LMs look great and are light, seems that I will probably have to go with another wheel for more clearance. Maybe some advan model 6's

Re: Re: Re: Will 14" Stoptechs clear BBS LM 18x9.0 +25mm (F+R)
just got reply from Luke @ www.tirerack.com
confirmed that the following will clear the 14" StopTechs F&R on the 350Z:
BBS RE TYPE 773 (front and rear): 18x8.5 +25 offset
BBS RE TYPE 774 (rear): 18x9.5 +25 offset
and that the following RS-GT will not
BBS RS-GT TYPE 952 (front and rear): 18x8.5 +25 offset
BBS RS-GT TYPE 923 (rear): 18x9.5 +25 offset
Wanted to add the information to the database.. many thanks tirerack
now just waiting to get confirmation whether the 18" SF-Winnings will also work to make the decision
