Firmer suspension in Track model?
Is it true that the Track model has "tighter" suspension than the other Z models? The Nissan website does not differentiate between the models as far as suspension goes, but a Nissan salesman told me the Track does have a firmer suspension.
I test drove a Touring model w/auto and found the ride to be fairly harsh going down Freeway 101 in the Bay Area, but I am used to the suspension in my Integra GS-R (which isn't exactly like riding on air either).

All of the cars have the same suspension tuning. Variation in ride harshness can be attributed to different tire sizes / profiles between the models.

Suspensions are the same, from Base to Track. Since the Brembos are somewhat heavier than the stock brakes, even the Rays only result in comparable unsprung weight numbers, no better than the rest.
You can probably detect a difference between heavier and lighter models, maybe even between 17" and 18" wheels, but Nissan made the suspensions consistent on purpose. You can dial in all the difference you want with aftermarket components.

those are not the underbody difusers that they are talking about. Those are ground effect pieces that nismo makes. The track model has plastic like cladding under the body that you don't see...

j's350z,
Ah. That would be #6 on the SCC pic?

My Touring seems to have everything else. I thought it was missing the muffler air-dam and figured that was JP part, but I just checked and it has that already. I can't see #6 on my Z.

Correct. #6 is not on your Z because you have touring. I do not know if this peice is available aftermarket. I think the track has a couple other small deflectors scattered about.

Bugger. So we still don't know what we're talking about WRT Track-only diffusers (my Z's got undercoat, so my #6 is a stealthy black). Gotta be a diffuser pic somewhere.....
