How do you actually blow your shocks?

oiii... most shocks blow due to old age... some shocks blow from overheating ie.. taking it to a track and the suspension is doing alot of moving around up and down and the heat slowly wear away at strut.

Yes, lowering your car on stock shocks can be a recipe for disaster. Always put in aftermarkets.

When the car is lowered, the shocks get compressed more than what it's designed for and the valve/seal can't handle the pressure.
I blew mine @11K Mi (w/ 1 track day) with Eibach + stock shocks. Got TEIN basic now and it's better than my previous setup.
