This experience has been so unreal that I just had to share it with everyone...

I order a Stoptech big brake kit in early April at an online retailer that shall remain nameless. I waited and waited 5+ weeks and still no sign of the kit, no "real" updates. It’s now getting close to my track event on 5/24 and my drop dead install date is 5/21 (today!).. and I’m slowly fuming!!

Well 3 days ago, I post a *one sentence* snide remark in a Stoptech thread about how long it’s taking and all hell brakes (pun intended) loose!!

Within 15 mins, I get a PM from "J Ritt"(the stoptech guy on this forum) asking for more info. He locates my kit in the system and finds out that I ordered it from a non-authorized retailer that was ordering through a third party…hence the added delays and lack of info? Well, knowing my situation, he takes the initiative to go and have my kit finished up immediately (calipers were being painted) and then *overnights* it at his cost to me. The UPS man just arrived 2 mins ago with my brakes and they are beautiful!!! That is unbelievable customer service!!!! I heard it was good but dayam!..

We are lucky to have so many good brake kits for the Z these days but Stoptech just differentiated themselves to me in a big way.

So now I’m gonna have a great time on Monday!!! Thank you Stoptech… thank you Jeff Ritter(J Ritt)! This forum is awesome!!

I agree they are a great group at Stop Tech!! We have Always had great service from them.

 

Yup, I also recieved great service from Stoptech, something I find very rare these days....

I would also agree, I have called Jeff a few times and bugged the crap out of him and he and Stoptech have always been more than helpful. On top of that they have a top notch product!

brakes installed Friday night... I dunno why everyone says big brakes don't make a difference on the streets because they do!!!! I definately feel my stopping distance, fade and brake pedal stiffness has *vastly* improved.. and I only opted for the front kit until I can afford a rear ... The entire system was bled however and Motul was used..

I got a lot of compliments on the brakes and I didn't even point them out or anything.. weird...people actually noticed THAT more that the blower I had under the hood

Guys...thank you very much for all of the support. Most people only post or tell others when they have a negative experience...so the person on the other end winds up feeling like this poor little guy... However, positive posts like this make me want to get up and go to work each day! I really do appreciate it. We are doing our best, and we'll keep trying.

 

I love my stop tech...they have saved my front end on two occasions
