It seems like there are plenty of good choices for front pads for track events, but I have yet to come across anything decent for the back. After completely frying the back pads this past weekend and Texas World Speedway, I'm curious as to what pads others might be using for such occasions.

I'm thinking of running Hawk HPS for the rear. Not really a worthy track pad, but being only $53 at RaceShopper.com who cares if you burn through a few sets per summer?

I would have recommended HP+ (which I have on the front) for approximately the same price. They should work better than the HPS but they are unfortunately not offered to the rear.

I hear you. That's exactly what I wanted for the rear since they (HPS+) grab real well. I still don't understand why nobody wants to make a decent rear pad.

Does anyone know anything about the Nismo pads? Are they as good as they are expensive? Track worthy?

I used the Nismo pads and the work alright as long as you don't run on a high speed track event. I was using them on a 1.6 mile course and they worked great. When I went to a 2.1 mile course with a 1/2 mile straight the brakes lasted four laps. My rear still had plenty of pad it was my front that looked like charcoal.

Carbontech offers a full range of front and rear pads for non brembo applications, several members that track their cars are using their pads. Their the one's I'd buy.

Damn! Those are some pricey pads! They'd better last forever and be super gentle on rotors for those prices.

there are sooo many different compounds that you can choose which you like best and go with that.. I doubt you need the matador series .. unless you are doing le mans or something..
