Default swapping brake systems

Anyone who has put a track brembo system into a 350Z, do you have to change anything else besides brake lines, rotors, pads & calipers? Am I missing anything else? What I'm trying to ask is if it's a direct swap.

I think you listed it all. I would recommend installing stainless braided lines while you have it all apart.

I'm thinking about doing the same upgrade. I took my stock touring roadster to the track and found out pretty quick that the brakes needed to be upgraded. Since I only go to the track every six months or so I don't want to spend $$$ a lot on a full Stop Tech front and rear upgrade with new calipers etc. (+$4k)

Any idea what it costs to upgrade to the Track version Brembo braking system and what all is involved?

Or would it be better to get the Stop Tech stage 2 upgrade which includes Hawk pads, lines, fluid and new stock size rotors but does not replace the stock (non-Brembo) calipers? ($650)

pkc415 - there have been many threads on this topic so a search should result some good hints. Your parts list sounds complete. I can't remember about the mounting bolts. Be prepared to trim or remove the rotor shields.

Ivey - based on your track usage, you could go with the Brembo swap if you can get a good deal or just upgrade the fronts (13" or 14" Stoptechs) and install better rear pads/rotors and remove the rotor shield (for better cooling).

I did the swap for a friend. the only issue is the rear (I think, could be the front) caliper mounting bolts. (the ones that bolt the caliper to the assembly.) They have a different thread pitch than the non-brembo, so you have to use your original bolts.
