Default good brake pads

Whats a good brake pad with excellent grip , dust isnt a big issue. I heard hps are good but dont have as much bite as stock.

Suggestions?

It is unlikely that anything beats oem from 0F thru 650-700F pads temperature.
Racing pads just shift the temperature of high friction upward at the expense of cold, cool, warm pad temperature.

A single 60 mph stop will raise pad - rotor temp by ~~ 150F so unless you need repeated [within 5 minute multiple stops] from 140 mph oem is probably as good as it gets for minimal distances.

I have the Hawk Hps and i didn't notice much difference from stock in braking ability. Maybe there is a little difference but i didn't get into the car and go "wow, these dont brake as well as stock" ya know. And the lessening of brake dust is incredible, just that fact makes them worth it to me.

I have tried Hawk, Ultimate, and Pagid and my favorite so far are the Pagid pads. The Pagid have a ton of grip compared to the others and I have not experienced in fade during track events.

Go for HP+. I've got them on the front and they're great. Definitely better bite than stock and dusting is about the same. Unfortunately they don't make them for the rear yet so I went with HPS. Might have helped offset the OEM rear brake bias anyway...

Go to Race Shopper for an *excellent* price. I paid ~ $54 for the front. For that price who cares if you chew up a set in a few events?

While you're there, check out the price for their Russell brake lines (which I also have a set of). $112 and they include a set of Speedbleeders!

Just a side note: Hawk does make HP+s for the Track rear brakes.

Installed Hawk HPs all the way around the middle of August. I think the bite is better and the dust matches the paint of the stock rims.

No squeaking and I have 4k on them.

I too purchased mine on-line from RaceShopper for $110 for all four wheels.
