Unhappy Need Help! Nissan dealership and Rotors

The guy in the service dept. says they do not resurface rotors for 350zs ever. He says I need all new rotors. is this true? Thanks a lot

He's full of chit. You can resurface rotors, as long as they haven't been worn beyond specs. Don't ask what the spec is, because I don't know. Take em' to an autoparts store. They'll let you know whether or not they can be turned, while still maintaining a safe thickness...

marketing scheme so they can charge you a thousand dollars for replacement. Probably cost you $20 a rotor to turn or you could buy new for like $35 a rotor. I would just slap new pads on there screw turning them unless you already have vibration. When its time, replace them, forget the rest.

There is no need to take a car to a shop for brakes and/or rotor work. Seriously. Its as easy as taking off a tire. Like others have said, take it to autozone or something, they can measure the rotors. You can have them resurfaced or just replace them. Replacing rotors, and brake pads is VERY easy to do and saves TOOOOONS of money.

YA...Ive never seen replacements for that cheap??

Im with the others on just swapping the pads....i dont turn unless i see grooves or notice vibrations.......
