^HAHAHAHA love it! Got to tell you guys, I am enjoying my kit. And thanks to Coz for hookin it up. Car stops on a dime. It's like being in a rollercoaster.

Maybe eventually when a two-piece finally does come out, I'll replace my rotors when they are worn. The stoptechs are pretty though. I have just the slotted rotors. I need to find a good pic to post up for you guys.

I haven't gotten a chance to really shoot some good pictures of the car, when it's been clean and all and get good pics of the brakes, but hopefully this works for now...

^FREE PARTS?!? Hahaha

There's apparently a dude out in CA who will send out high heat stickers of the Akebono logo for the brakes. I was thinking about getting some black stickers to break up the look a little bit. I kind of want to paint them some crazy metallic color though, similar to how the Brembos look. I just don't know what color.

I have had these brakes on my Z for about a couple of months. Love them, but my only complaint is that the rotors are a little too big for the Calipers, meaning towards the center hub of the rotor, there is a rust ring beginning to form. If only the brake pads reached that far to clean it....

CZP, any advice/suggestions?

The Nissan OEM Rotors have additional coating past the hub, and that's why you can't see it on OEM. So even the OEM rotors don't make full pad contact, not sure why it was done this way. Upgraded Rotors do not have this additional coating, and that's why this is happening. A quick fix would be to turn the rotors, and plate or coat them all the way. The 2pc Rotors are not going to have this problem, because the hat is going to go up all the way to the pad.

I'll wash the car and take some tomorrow. It's crazy dirty right now. It's been raining here non stop.

P.S. About the rotors, mine are the same way. The pad only reaches so far on the rotor, so like even by the first time I washed the car, a ring of rust formed near the hub portion of the rotor.

Awww, that sucks about that rust ring. I guess I'll have to go 2pc when it comes time to change them...

I noticed the 370Z temps were even lower than the already low 350z w/ Akebono. A significant improvement that was proven on the track. Too bad it wasn't a 3-way shoot out between 2-piston 06-up calipers vs Brembo vs Akebono.

If you read the article, you'll notice the suspension wasn't setup correctly on the 350z, causing the higher temperatures. We are also limited to BBK manufacturers, because we sell most of them, and these tests have to be independent, so be my guest

Looks like they also installed the rotors backwards....

The directions that came with the stoptechs specifically said to install them a certain direction. Unless those are a different brand or produced a little differently

Rotors are non-directional, so they can be installed either way. Customer wanted them that way.
