I don't have a Z yet, but looking to purchase one in a couple of months. Given that the Z has been out for 2 years+ now, asking for under invoice if not @ invoice is very possible. @ this time, I would not settle for anything over invoice. So look @ 28.5k+ at most 29k otd if I were u.

I have gone to a few Dealers in So Ca and the best I could get is $500 less than MSRP on a 2005 Enthusiast. PLEASE let me know if you can get a dealer to sell close to invoice price. I plan to buy in probably 4-6 months.

Thanks
Bryan

4 to 6 months now

a good rule of thumb is to pay close to msrp out the door when it comes to cars without rebates like the z(assuming you have a 6% sales tax rate. dont expect too good of a deal early in the model year, but I think that is close to obtainable considering there is about an 8% markup over invoice on the car you are looking at.

See Performance Nissan in Duarte. Their volume is so huge, they'll do close to invoice for you.

I heard from a fellow member who said that last week a dealer near LA ran a full page ad $4,000.00 off MSRP. I guess that their is a price war going on between 2 dealers in LA. one is Universal Nissan and the other Irvine Nissan. Check it out!
As of now Nissan is offering 2% financing on '05Z's too!
For the guys that do not live in the LA area..here is my advice.
Start your stategy with $4-$500 over INVOICE not MSRP. Tax's are always extra. If you want to buy over the internet as I did. I know a dealer who will deal around several hundred BELOW INVOICE. Good Luck!

jackie is right,

The %2.0 is an incentive to move 04s off the lots given by Nissan. Why would it make any sense for them to give the same incentive on an 05?

You can still get a great deal on 04s and possibly get the %2.0. Depending on the model it's the same car.
