Default buying 350z triptronic import, but...

I have spoken to a Nissan main dealer who is really trying to put me off the purchase. This car is a 350z fairlady coupe with a Automatic/Triptronic shift. I have done a little resarch but still know very little about this style of 350z. Also it has cloth interior and i have noticed it dosen't have any button on steering wheel (cruise control etc) why is this? Any help abd advice would be greatfully appreciated! Ps Also can i get this car serviced by a main dealer as it was imported from japan and not europe??

Cruise control is not available on the base model in the US. You also can't get leather on the base or the Enthusiast in the US. Sounds like you are looking at a base model. Why are you going to all the trouble to import it? Do they not sell it in England at all? I doubt you can trust getting good service at a dealership that doesn't service other 350Zs.

If you haven't already found it, suggest you try the UK's 350Z forum: 350Zuk.com

There are several members who have JDM cars, including Auto's, who should be able to give you some advice about the pros & cons of an import.

In the US I dont think you can get a base in auto.
