What did you pay, and what was the sticker price?
For those of you that purchased new... what kind of deal did you get - or did you end up with paying the full sticker price? What did you pay, and what was the sticker price?
I'm interested in buying new, and don't want to get suckered... but I don't want to make an *** of myself either.
[edit: I can't say a s s?]

Please tell me you at least used the search function. There are at least 20 threads asking the exact same thing that will have many different replies. There are alot of factors that go into what price you are going to pay for a car including your trade in and financing. No matter how great a deal you think you got, someone on this site will tell you they did better. If you can get it for less than sticker be happy, buy the car, and enjoy it.

When i was cross shopping between 5 cars a few weeks ago, I was able to get the price to $200 over invoice (enthusiast model, 6M, ultra yellow, side airbags). This was during my first visit and test drive, but after the test drive i lost interest in the car. I'm certain I could have gotten the price lowered to invoice.

OTD under MSRP = great deal....
The only thing that matters to me is "out-the-door" price. That is the
total of:
1. dealers-best-price-including-options-on-that-car,
2. destination cost,
3. sales tax for your county/state,
4. state registration costs,
5. any "dealer-processing" fees embedded in their paperwork.
This is the only way for me to compare deals offered, before
considering trade-in or cash down credits.
If OTD price is at or under that car's MSRP(w/out "fake" dealer addons)
then I think the deal is good for both parties.

Are these guys pullin my leg? They said they can't sell for less than MRSP, and while we were adding everything up, such as freight, PDE, fees etc... the 48,000 MRSP car soon became 53,000 after tax. (CAD prices)
BS?
[EDIT: I'll definitely be getting another quote somewhere else, that's for sure.]

Yea the price is jacked because it's in Canada. Even with the exchange rate it shouldn't be that high, but it is I dunno wtf.
Anyways, yea if we want a Z that's what we pay in Canada.

Financing / leasing doesn't count, you don't own the car.

Out-the-door is total money given to the dealer...how you pay is
up to you:
All cash
Some cash, finance the rest
If finance, then Nissan/dealer share the intrest, or you get
your own financing thru bank, credit union, or family, etc.
In my case, 10K down, financed balance thru Nissan.
OTD is the only way to compare offers on the same model car..
Difference in monthly payment for interest spread 3% to 8% is
less than $50 US....each 1% interest rate adds about $9.60 US to
the monthly payment..... don't sweat the rate if less than 8%

the deal offered by a dealer. Always sell your current ride first, then
you can pay cash, finance any balance.
Having a "trade-in" = buyer-gets-screwed
Ask to see the invoice on the car, tell them they can add any fees, taxes,
etc, just make the Out-The-Door price equal to MSRP.
