Default $300 under invoice

Today I was pricing out the 350z at some of the local dealerships in Scottsdale and the surrounding areas and basically the starting advertised prices for the z are $300 under invoice. This is before any negotiations or haggling. Is this common at the end of the model year or are they thinking that once the 2006 comes out it will be so much better that noone will want a 2005 and they are trying to sell them all off now? Should I wait to see what the 2006 has to offer or take advantage of this deal now? We have all seen the photos of the "supposed" 2006 roadster but what other differences do you suspect there are? I would be surprised if all trims didn't get the 300hp.

I think I will wait for the 2006s, anybody have any thoughts?

Which dealership did you get the quote for $300 under invoice?
I got a quote from Brown and Brown Nissan in Mesa a month ago and they said they are going to sell $300 OVER invoice, that's before any negotiation, I guess that was already a pretty good initial offer.

The 06 isn't all that pretty, I don't prefer the new changes except the led tails

If you can get an 05 for well below an 06, I'd get the 05. There just aren't any substantive changes.

I don't like any of the exterior changes to that roadster. The interior changes are decent. So unless they have some good changes to the motor I will go with the 2005.

I really like the changes of the 06, I would wait for an 06. If that wasn't your case, the $300 under invoice from Brown n Brown does sound tempting, but always check around. Pinnacle has a bigger inventory of Zs, and they have ok prices. I bought mine from Avondale Nissan, they had the color and trim i like, and the price wasn't bad, and they treated me really good unlike ABC Nissan (try to avoid them, they are rude and bunch of rip off).
Good luck bargaining, stay cool and don't be afraid to walk away if they can't meet your price, they will always call you back and offer you a better deal.

Invoice - 300 is a great price. The 06's will be price hyped. I say go for the 05.

If you you want to save money just get the 05. Even if you wait till the 06 comes out to see what it is I am sure there will be some 05 out there.

I say wait for the 06`s, and THEN go for an 05.

By that time, dealers will be itching to get the 05`s off the lot.
