Is what the dealer told me true?
I said I want an '06 base model with no options at all. We agreed on $400 over invoice. The salesman then comes back and says, "my manager approved this deal, so you'll pay $400 over whatever the invoice is."
I told him the invoice on a base model was like $25,6xx. He said each car has a different invoice. I'm thinking when the car arrives (8-10 weeks) that the invoice will be like $26,000 or something. Did I get had?

I signed my name at the bottom of the paper. Don't know how binding that is though.

Most states have a law against keeping a deposit if the buyer changes his mind for ANY reason. See if that is true in Ill. If so, wait for car to show up & see what price is.
Though I have to believe the dealer knows now what invoice will be.

When I ordered my '06 GT Magnetic Black 6 sp back in Sept, my dealer did not know invoice either, but he agreed to sell it to me at $500 over invoice. He subsequently found out, and it was just as noted on these boards. Each model will have a different invoice, but not each car. By the way, getting mine on 12-6, and I can't wait.

sounds a little strange to me...$400 over whatever the invoice is....dont they know what price and options are on the invoice? Plus, you said no options, so its like a nobrainer that everyone would know should know how much its gonna be. Not as easy as finding the MSRP, but the invoice should be easily figured out. Sounds like to me that they mightr have a few options on the car when it comes in.

the factory invoice is just that. its a carbon copy with a yellow and a white piece of paper landscaped. Nissan doesn't let you order cars with zero options. THEY MAKE THE CARS COME WITH OPTIONS OR IT WILL NOT LET YOU COMPLETE THE ORDER. for instance, a car with a sunroof defaults to the "optional" sunroof wind deflector.
