$28,571.22 Best Otd
I have been working on a similar deal although I havent yet propose it to the dealer. I do not claim to be an expert. However, I have been doing some research.
I know the dealers are currently getting about a 500 dealer holdback (consumer web report cost 14 bucks) from nissan on the sale of 350Z's. I was going to bid a total of $26,788 (not incuding tax, license etc.) -maybe this is too high. My logic for this price is as follows --
$25,948 for the 350Z Base with MT -- this is invoice minus a 500 dealer hold back just to establish the dealers breakeven amount.
The car is equiped with:
+140 splash
+90 floor mats
+110 kick plates
Plus +500 (this is what I see as the dealers profit -- he should make money on the deale--no?)
Total before tax, licenence etc.
$26,788
Does this make sense? I was going to make that bid tomorow.

The base invoice amount for a base coupe is $25,860 + $605 destination...
and let's not forget Nissan will not let dealers order cars without either floormats, trunk mat, splash guards, and/or aluminum kick plates!
As a dealer, I would take $200 over invoice on the base coupes, at the moment, while the business is a little slow!

Here are a couple of questions that I have. I live in SoCal, and I was wondering what I should pay for an 06 enthusiast. Also how much would I be paying for car insurace a month. I have a good driving record but I am 22years old.

MSRP is $28,745

I used to sell cars here in Las Vegas. If you want the best deals go with something used that is like a year old. The markup on new cars is not there. Most dealers only mark up new cars maybe 500-1000 dollars. Where as the used ones they take in sometimes 4000 back of book. You can cut 4000-5000 off their sticker price on a used where you can only get like 500-1000 off of new.
And as for the person that asked how much insuarance would be... I am 19 years old and i pay $480 a month for my Z.

Can anyone tell me how the $500 deduction for graduates work? If I get a rock bottom offer, say for example, 28k (pre-tax etc), will the dealership apply my $500 or use that as some sort of leverage on me?
Or is the $500 independent of the dealer since they get reimbursed by Nissan, so it's a freebie for me? Thanks (i plan on not telling them i'm a graduate until i can a rock bottom offer so it gives them no leverage to bargain with me).
