Default 04 enthuiast or 06

one of my good buddies goes to auctions and gets cars for alot cheaper than what a normal used cars would be....so im debating because he can hook me up with an 04 enthusiast Z with around 20,000 miles for around 20 g's or lower.....should i go for this deal or is it worth getting the new Z with the rev up motor and improvements?

It all has to do with your budget. I could have got a 06 if I wanted to spend the money, but I rather have saved it. I told myself if I could find a clean car with low mileage, right price, and 100k warrantee I will be good. Got what would be a 34k car in 03 for 21k in 06 with 19k miles. I figured I could save the money, and possibly put it aside for the new Z or whatever else might come up. If you are thinking on doing heavy modding I would get the new Z with the rev up motor...or you could get a used one build up the motor, etc. It all depends on what suit your needs. For my needs being a college student that saved my money throughout my youth years didn’t want to blow my load, so I didnt go brand new. Sorry I went on I had a few to drink. Goodluck. Do you know much about these auctions?? Watch out for that... that would suck if you got one of those cars that had flood damage from the recent hurricanes.

depends on how much you want to spend. 20k for that car is a good deal but some people like having a new car. I got my 04 used in 2004 over a new 04 for a decent price... it helped justify spending money on other things for the car since I saved so much up front.

If you worried about warranty as long as the 04 your friend gets is under 36k miles you can buy the extended warranty from a nissan dealership. I did that with my used car and got the 72month/75,000 mile with $50 deductable for like $700 i think.

Have you looked on modifiedautotrader.com? Here's a '04 with a full Do-Luck kit with a lot more goodies. Had I know about this, I would have bought this car instead of my'06.

I have to say going with the older car with 20K miles...I got my car for 20K instead of 28 which the dealers were asking for the 06. I got the car from an older lady who didn't ever drive it. so I WIN

Vehicles at auctions sell for less than retail for a reason: risk. I understand that a professional buyer is more apt to walk away with a winner that a neophyte, but how does a pro determine internal engine or transmission problems by visual inspection. Buyer beware.
