Default 2003 Z

Do any of you think that if I bought a used 2003 Z that the car would still be suffering from the tire feathering problem that the 2003 line was plagued with?

It depends. Does that answer your question?

If the 03 never had a problem to begin with, then there will be no problem. If it did have a problem and it was fixed by Nissan then there should be no problem. So, it depends.

So, I clicked on the link above and the thread is over a hundred pages. I'm just gonna ask...what is feathering and what kind of problems does it cause? Was it fixed after the 03 model year?

Not all 03's have feathering. I'm almost at 30k now with no signs at all.

Feathering is an unusual wear pattern on the inside front tires. From this photo you can see the high and low blocks. Its not a safety concern, but makes a horrible roar when driving. Some drivers has been successful with a fix. Some have not.

I believe tires are a huge part of this issue. All of my miles are on Nitto 555's.
