is this a good price to order a 2007 Touring?
i'm not sure what kind of demand/pricing there is on a 350z but here is a quote i received from a dealer i am looking at. car will most likely be ordered..
2007 Daytona Blue 350z Touring with 6 speed manual. only options are floormats and kickplates.
msrp: $33,515
invoice: $30,999
order price: $30,884
so the price would be under invoice. do you guys think i can get it lower? like i said, i don't know what kind of demand there is for the 350z, let alone in the chicagoland area. thanks in advance.

I don't think that is the actual invoice. I think a Touring model has more mark up. Then again, they took off 2600 bucks. I just doubt a dealer is going to go below invoice on an order car. I mean he still has the 1,045 bucks in holdback but still in all. Maybe Z's in Chicago got cold. I would accept the deal. Seems like an acceptable discount.

just got back from the dealer and i have it in writing. $30,884 to order the car. and if i do purchase, i get free lifetime oil changes at the dealership (every 3750 miles). we figured out the out-the-door price and it would be a little over $33,000.
i told him i would think about it, but will most likely seal the deal tomorrow.

this Z is for me..so i'm going to finalize the deal.
x7original4x...regarding the under invoice price and ordering (got this tidbit from this forum here)...
What if it is a special order?
If your Z will be a special order from Japan, you can get it for invoice if you know how to haggle. The dealer always pays Nissan 2% less than invoice if the car is sold within 30 days of reaching dealership. It is called "Dealer Holdback". For special orders, Nissan dealers pocket all 2% since the car is whisked away as soon as it arrives. Keep that in mind and bargain wisely, you will not be disappointed!

Took me a little over 2 months for mine. Well worth it But it gets annoying to make the phone calls to find out whats going on with your 33 thousand dollar car. Dealers should take more initiative and keep the customers well informed about their cars.
