Default Just need some input

Hello all, I'm new to the forum but not the Nissan world. Last week I went car shopping with a friend of mine. I pointed out the 350 to her and she bit. She now has a nice '05 with low miles on it. After riding and driving her car I am in love and have decided I must have a new(er) Z. I'm 21 and thus cannot afford a brand new car. I've been looking at a lot of '03s and some '04s. My only real questions are regarding year/miles/cost. I would prefer to spend about $21k and have a car under 50k miles. Is this doable? If so, is there anything in particular I should watch out for? I've read about the ECU, the motors with some oil leaks and I've also heard some things about throttle bodies. How worrisome are these problems and are there in models in particular that should throw up a red flag? I suppose that is all for now and thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post.

Yes on $21 Gs & below 50,000 miles.

When you find a specific car your thinking about, do search here or ask about specific model/year.

For reliability, the model year is more important than mileage. In other words a 2004 with 50,000 miles is a better bet than a 2003 with 25,000. For complete reliability data see Consumer reports.

Tire feathering problem - first couple of years. Check out the TSBs (technical service bulletins).
