To Z or not to Z
Ha ok so heres the deal. Iam, have always, and ALWAY will be a honda fan. Currently driving a S2000. I freakin love it. lol But the interior being so small is startin to get to me. I dont mind driving small cars. In fact I prefur a smaller car because there more nimble and easier to get around in then a "dumpy land yacht" I was wondering if any one else here had made the switch to the Z from the S? I post on a S2000 site and alot of people switch between the two alot. I hear great things about the Z but my s2000 is soo much fun to drive. Not to mention the looks you get. I see alot more 350's then 2000's. Just lookin for some imput or some help. Tryin to find the best fit.
-P.S. this is my first thread here so be nice. Us honda lovers are sensitive lol

If you think the S2000 gets a lot of looks, the 350Z gets three times that from what I've noticed. While I never owned an S2000, I have driven a few of them and have considered it (love that Honda MT smoothness). Ultimately, the 350Z is a power monster compared to the S2000, as it feels a lot stronger around the town and the highway.
The handling is fairly equal between both cars, but perhaps the S2000 has a slight edge, but nothing substantial. The interior on the Z is definitely much roomier and more comfortable. Likewise, it's always nice to know that the 350Z has very high crash test ratings, so it's a safe car. What you'll want to do first with a Z is get rid of the abysmally bad tires Nissan sticks on the rims and get yourself a set of Falken ZX512s or Toyo Proxes.

When I bought my Z I thought I would be totally satisfied and would stay away from Hondas. After a short while I missed the high rev and go kart feel of a Honda, had to get both to stay satisfied.
s2000 is a sweat car...unfortunately for me, im too tall and i feel cramped inside of it. personaly, what did it for me: 6 cylinder vs. 4 cylinder, and the huge price difference ($8,000) between the two. I'm a Z "lova" don't get me wrong, but if you already own a s2000 might as well just keep it and mod the hell out of it

Hmm learn some english first, then you can buy a Z. Until then keep your Honda.

I reckon a couple of standard suspension mods would likely make the Z an equal or better performer.
If you've already got it, keep it. I personally just thought it was too small of an interior for daily driving, especially compared to the Z. BUT, if it was a weekend car, it'd be a hard decision.

the Z definately get more looks... i've caused about 3 car accidents cause people were STARING at my car and they werent watching the car in front of them . i havent seen a s2k do that
I am a big fan of the s2000. It is a high reving, awesome handling roadster. So my choice would be s2000 for a roadster, "Z' for a coupe. Both have awesome styling and can bring awesome qualities to the table. My biggest deciding factor would have to be my goal with the vehicle. I personally wanted a coupe with some decent power/handling while I wait for c6 zo6 funds to be present in my finances. You may want an awesome handling auto-x car or a torque monster to drift with, who knows? You decide what suits you best.
Thanks to everone for the imput. Altho every ones thoughts are my exact thoughts as well. Havent had a chance to get out and drive one. But I have rode in a few of my friends cars. I have a couple test drives set up for the weekend. So I guess we'll see how things go. I like the Z because it responds better to afermarket parts over the S2000. I would love to turbo the S but its gonna cost me an arm and a leg. Not to mention then its even more a pain in the A$$ to keep as a DD. Its a Great Weekend car. I guess Ill let you guys know what I think after this week end...

Are you buying this car to race in or to drive in like a normal person?
If you're talking about normal, average mix of city and highway driving, just ask yourself do you want to be driving around in something as small as the Honda, or would you rather have the substance and increased room of the Z?
It's a personal choice. For me, I felt the Honda was too little. I drive around the Beltway in the D.C. area and wanted a little more sheet metal around me than that. Also I like the interior comfort of the Z a lot better.
Both cars handle well, depends on how you feel about the individual style, since they do drive differently. Have you test-driven a Z? If not, then you don't really know how they compare.
