They're advertising this as a base model, and when I called they again told me it was a base. Looking at the options/pictures I don't think it is (though I admit I am new to Z's).

is this really a base or are they advertising it as less than it really is?

base model has no buttons on the wheel, this is a track model. It has brembos

Wheel and brembos would indicate a track edition. If you can talk them down from there... (letting them continue to believe its a base) you could end up with an OK deal...

thanks for confirming my suspicions, guys.

I'll be looking at the car on Saturday, so hopefully I can continue with them thinking it's a base model and talk them down on the price, then drive off with a great deal on a track model!

bring in the kbb buy price for this "base model" and talk them down from that.

well when I called the salesperson to make an appointment, she told me the car was already sold

They had it less than a week.

brembos = track

brembos/leather = grand touring

i don't understand how bigger dealerships dont know what trim model. At my dealership, all we do is type in the VIN number and it will show you the trim. Same thing with some insurance groups, you can't trick them. You can't put on some v6 badges on a v8 and claim you have the slower model to get the better rate. Wierd.
