Buying a used 2003 350z with high miles...
The car is selling for 16,000 and looks reallly nice, but Im not sure if its a good idea to get a car with 82k miles mechanically speaking.
Well I am familiar with some of the main issues that this car has, and upon asking the seller, he responded with:
"Transmission replaced by dealer at 30K miles. No oil consumption issues. Had tire feathering when I first got it but I took it to the dealer to get realigned and I also got new rims and tires. No problems since."
Any other things I should ask the seller?
Or should i forget about getting a car with so many miles...
My reasoning behind something with higher miles was, if its withstood this many miles, than the seller has probably fixed all the issues that come along with the car
oh and before anyone tells me, Ive already done a search for this

well, i think hes asking a little to much for it....i bet you could find a better deal. i picked mine up for 19,700 (2004.5 enthusiast) before taxes and it only had 12,900 miles on it. that was this past june.
i would try buying one from a different state and having a moving company or a dealer ship it to you. it doesnt caust that much, when i was gunna buy a Z out of florida they told me it was only 500 bucks for them to ship it to me in minnesota. this way you get a more broad search and your choices arent that narrow.

I'm assuming that the guy is in his mid 20s. I think its been well kept as you might notice in these pics lol. No idea how he drove it though. I told you it looked nice :P

the only reason i'm saying no is because it's a fixed up car. He probably ran it pretty hard. It's just the mindset of a younger person. My dad has had a bunch of sports car but i swear he never even redlined it before. So i really do believe cars taht are driven by older people are better.
82,000 miles and you will see normal wear and tear components that must be fixed or replaced:
Brakes
Wheel bearings
Suspension components
Air condition condenser
Alternator
Pass on this one.
BTW the photos are beautiful. They were taken at 10,000 miles.

I agree. Someone my age, 58, will baby the car. Probably never take it past 5,000 RPM.

If you really want to get it, just get it. He listed taht list of things for you just to take in account to see if you have money down the road to fix those things since it has higher mileage. This car really lasts a long time. My friend has over 200k miles on his 350z and the only thing that has failed is a batter and alternator which is good in my book.
