Getting a Z
2004 carbon silver coupe 6speed base with 13,000 miles advertised for $23,000
I'm wondering how low can this car can sell for. I was thinking of starting at $19,000 but someone told me that was too high to start off and its quite possible i could get it cheaper. According to carfax it says that the owner type was a private lease if thats any help. So where should I start and what is too high.

They told me the best they can do is $22k. Then i offered $20. They told me no and I walked out. What was annoying was they were keep trying to find out my credit and all this questions like my work pay etc. before they would even talk about the pricing of the car. I thought they would sell it to me but o wells, I want a black one anyway.
Is it a good idea not to talk about my credit before i sign for the price?

You have the power as the buyer. Don't tell them anything unless you know the price you will be working with. If your credit is good, tell them it's good. But they don't need to run a credit report if you're just talking. If they won't give you a solid price, don't give them any info.
I was going to chime in on the price of the car seeming high but I know things are inflated in HI so I'm not sure what's a good deal there.

I figured 3k below tag would be reasonable. The salesman brought his manager in to try and squeeze money out of me. So i couldnt take it anymore lol. They also werent taking me serious because I am 19.

You're not going to get it for $20K. It's about a $21K, $21.5K car.
They don't need to know your credit to tell you a price.
Work price, then payments.
