Almost less paperwork, too.

Come on buddy, do not play dumb (or maybe you are really dumb that cannot realise how there is no integrity in what you say), you are a darn good con artist... oops sorry, a car sales man.
2007's are worth less than 2008's. That's why the auto makers offer incentives to help bring the value's in line. It's the consumer's choice which is more valuable to them, a better deal or the newer model.
And not all car salesmen are crooks. Just as not all cops a re good people, or all lawyers are honest, or...
It goes for any job. There are good people and bad people.

And I think you are just too busy conning people that you do not know anything about financials. I do not know the specifics about car business, but what I said about inventory is a COMMON SENSE. There is something called "shelf life" (remember this for the next time when you try to sound intelligent). The length of shelf life varies by commodity. For groceries, it is a few days to a week. For consumer goods (such as clothes and electronics), it is a few months to a year, they get outdated even though they do not get rotten. For a car, let's say it is a year. Yes, a car fucntions perfectly even if it does not get sold within the model year, but the value goes down significantly (generally speaking) and it is not difficult to imagine dealers try to get rid of them before getting rid of new model year's inventory. It is also a fact that if everything else is exactly the same (hypothetically speaking) a higher model year car gets higher resale value than a lower model year car. Inventory, as definition, is a current asset. What it means is if it is not moving, it is not allowed to be classified as current asset. You need to put a reserve. Plus, all kinds of inventory cost gets incurred (insurance, maintenance, tax, etc), hello, are you really even a sales manager? Oh, and you probably should look around the market and what other dealers are doing to stay competitive (talking about the worst store in town). Just by doing a basic search on autotrader (2008 new) I can find quite a few low $27K's and $26K's (just as advertised, meaning, you can negotiate further down). You do not have to worry about my credit or history of con'ned by dealers. I have never had a car payment and I have not been to your dealership.
That's an amazingly unpunctuated block of text.
I assume it's more about time on lot, etc. Seth is absolutely correct. For a low volume sport's car that isn't changing much in 2008, there is no incentive for Nissan to rush 08 models to the dealers. They want to get the Titan's and the Armada's and the Altima's and all the higher-volume products out first. The 350 can wait a bit. So yeah, they probably shipped out 2007 350's at the same time they shipped 2008 Altima's and Titan's.
Granted, I don't work for Nissan, I work for GM, but it's the same thing.
I seriously doubt typing this was anything more than a waste of 5 minutes, but seth is merely trying to lend his expertise and experience in the car business to help out, and reap no personal reward for it at all. Yet you accuse him of trying to con the OP simply because of his profession? That's bass-ackwards.

I also bought an 07 because the difference in price between the 07 and 08 for me was about the same price difference as the resale value between 350z's 1 year apart.
Money now can be put to better use than Money later.
Money now also is worth more than money later... (Especially with the US dollar)
I would kinda ignore Crystalboy tho........ i dont even know what he is trying to say, he could be cool in real life tho. Just dont understand him at the moment but I am super super tired.
You can trust me because I was in the same spot as you just 3 weeks ago.
I bought my 07. Saved 2 grand. Put the 2 grand in the bank to earn interest (or to mod my car...
If you plan on resaleing the car.. actually an 08 isnt really THAT much of a smarter choice because an 07 and 08 is exactly the same and when the new 350z's or whatever is next comes out.. the resale value of our cars are going to drop anyway because people may not want them. But there still is a difference to keep in mind.
