I thought 22k was completely fair.
If they don't sell it, and they call you drop your offer. Tell them that they waited so long that the value depreciated and your offer now is 20k. Tell them they can keep the change too.
I once sold a 4 year old C5 Corvette, mine, that had 6 thousand miles, low mileage "toys" are common.
I bought a '91 MR2 turbo from the original owner in June, '96. It had 8900 miles. And trust me, there was no doubt that was the actual mileage. It was actually nicer than showroom.
Then I sold the MR2 in June, '03, and bought a one-owner '97 Miata with 17K.
Those weekend toys are fantstic bargains, even if you pay a "premium" price.
Bought my '06Z new, however.
