Default Getting Rapped @ The Stealership

Ok, So I am currently sharing a vehicle with my fiance. We just bought her a brand new SUV, and we were holding off getting another car. She recently just got a new job, and it conflicts with my work schedule, so I had to bite the bullet and look for a car. I have about $7,000.00 cash on me, and I was pretty much set on buying a used beater, pay for it in full, and just use it as a to-and-from work car. So I went buy a local Nissan dealership for "Mega Used Car Blowout Sale" to see what they had. After looking around at there astronomically high priced used cars, I went and looked at there used 350Z's. I figured if I'm gonna bite the bullet and have another car payment, it better be for something I want. So I see an '04 Brickyard Enthusiast parked it the corner. 6MT and 64,000 on the odometer.... I look down at the price and $22,500.00!!!! Are you kidding me?????? What the hell is wrong with dealerships nowa days?????

I've been to the dealer plenty of times and they never hit me on the hand with a ruler?

Imagine: a dealer asking to much for a car. Who woulda thought....

By the way, learn about what your buying: there is no such thing as an 04 Brickyard Enthusiast.

I don't need to learn anything. The car was repainted at a dealership. It was originally silverstone. I didn't think it was necessary to get into the gritty details of the vehicle. And my knowledge of 350Z paint codes and knowledge is not in question hear. Thank You.

Thats typical with stealerships. When I searched for my Z, I found an ad on autotrader for a 2004 Enth. 6 spd with 31k miles for 1899. Once I drove to the dealership to see it in person, they had it displayed on the lot close to 22,000.

You might want to question why the dealership had to repaint it?

Or was it done by the original owner?

edit - nevermind. you didnt say you were buying it. lol

You _never_ want to trade your car in at the dealer. I don't even bother bringing it up when I'm buying a car. If you need to get rid of your car, a private sale is the only good route.

Oh my God, imagine that. A dealership trying to make money. How silly. We all know they are in business to give away cars.
