So whatever they go for there in WA . . . subtract $4000 and you have the CA price

$10k down
+
$254 x 60 mos = $15,240
You paid $25,240 for a scion? (You could have had a Z for that price.)
Of which you have paid off $13,000
$25,240 - $13000 = $12,240 still owed
The last 07 TC we took in on trade, we gave her a generous $12,000 for it.
So you are not looking too bad. You should be able to get out of the TC without having to roll any negative in to the new car.
And since you have been making your payments, your credit should be really strong now, getting you an even better interest rate.
Keep us updated on how it goes

So you're telling my I can buy a truck full of of TCs at retail in SOCAL and net $3600 on each one of them selling them in Seattle and I don't even need to recondition or inspect them? I can sell a used TC for $16,000 plus overhead and profit when a new one goes for $15,7xx with non-negotiable pricing? You're also telling me that with $10,000 down I can finance a new 350Z and the total of payments will be 25K?

And, Yes!!!! You can get TC's here all day long at $4000 back of book. (but that is not 'retail' - if you knew the business, you would know that)And if you do not recondition your inventory . . . . . . well, we wont even go there. I cant imagine NOT doin recon even on the 'cream puff' trade ins.
And . . yes. A $35000 car can be purchased for $10,000 + $25,000

I was in your position when I first got my 05 tC.. I wanted a mazda6 more than anything in the world but my dad told me to get a toyota because of the co-sign.. but now that I built up my credit, I picked up the 350z myself.. just takes time

I work for Toyota over here in Cerritos California (orange county).
I don't know why you had your bank buy out your loan. Scion's have their own financing options and they are very good especially if you cosigned with your father.
25k for a tC?! It must've been pretty fully loaded. tC's are pure-pricing. Nobody can change the interest rate, price or ANYTHING in the car. Interest rate is the only thing that can be changed but that is 100% influenced by your credit score.
I had a 2007 tC and recently made the switch and put my name on the contract for the Z. Best and worst decision of my life. Best because the Z is incredible next to the tC and worse because now I'm buried for the next 48 months.
Sure Nissan dealerships are trying to get rid of their Z's and will sell them for invoice or below but you need to drive your car around a bit more before you make these impulsive decisions based on what you want. Your burying yourself. So wait it out my friend. Bite down on your tongue and wait it out. I was in the same position as you back when the '05 Z's were introduced. I waited a year and a half and what do you know, 300+ hp with the dual intakes aaaand, I got a way better deal
