Is this a Good price for Enthusiast?
I took a 100 mile trip just to see this car and unfortunatley did not get it b/c they would not drop under 28,500, but the saleman called me back and Told me They could do $27,600, which is closer to what i was looking at getting it for, on a DB 350z Enthusiast. I thought i could get an Enthusiast for 27,000 but I am not sure what invoice is on the Enthusiast but the Sticker on the car was 29,234. Think It is possible to get it lower or is that the lowest/best deal i will get on it? It also only has 18 miles on it which he told me yesterday. So it has not been test driven much at all. I am going to get it either way was just curious if you all think I should try to get him lower or take the deal as is?

That's cheaper than the "no dicker" Mossy Nissan price I've seen. Here is the scoop according to Edmunds:
MSRP Invoice
$28,350 $26,219
+540 Destination charge
So, it sounds like a decent price... But, they'll probbaly go lower if they offered you that. At least get them to throw in some goodies or something

So that would be 1400 over invoice. If they sold it to me for Invoice does that mean they dont make anything off the deal? Not like that would bother me any just curious. One other questions. If I put 13000 down on the car do i pay tax on the total price of the car or just the Difference? So basicly as the price is now do I pay tax on $27,600 or the difference which is $14,600?

Even at invoice, they make 5-800 still. Especially this late in the year. So...they aren't really selling it to you at their cost, BUT $27.5K is a pretty decent deal IMO and I am pretty aggresive when dealing for a car. I would think you might be able to get another $500 out of them, but depends on demand in your area.

Was that price with or without add on options? Check out www.edmunds.com and price it with the options it had.
Also, what's the deal with destination charge ($540)? Do you always have to pay that? If so, 27,600 is only 840 over invoice with no options. That's a decent price if it's got what you want.

Make sure they dont tack on any "dealer fees" or "Documentation fees" that will make up for their "losses". And also, if you finance, dont let them screw you on the interest rate. Do your homework and get the APR from your bank and maybe two others so if you are not happy with the interest rate you know you can get financing elsewhere.
Remember that these people are not on your side. Negotiate an "out the door price" instead of the car price so they cant sneak in other fees and confuse you with numbers. Figure what you want to pay for the car, add tax, tag, and title, and let them worry about crunching the numbers.

IMO....Yes!!
I got the exact same car (different color) for $28,500.
Why quib over a couple more hundred? The deal sounds good.
I agree with Doc1111, watch out for dealer add-ons; extra fees, "wax" jobs, warranties, etc. Also check out their financing, you should be getting an APR under 5%, at least.
After you drive it off the lot, you'll quit worrying if you paid $500 "too much" or not. This is such a sweet ride you forget anything.
If it is the color you want and has the options you want ---BUY THE Z!!
Peace

Woah! Where are you getting your money from? Will you let me know? Do you know your beacon score? I have a pretty good score, but my credit union is only offering 3.9% Of course, I thought this was pretty good?
