Default Used 08 Enthusiast pricing?

Dealer close to me has a 2008 Enthusiast in nogaro red. Certified Pre Owned. Has about 5000 miles on it. few scratches but the dealer said they would take care of those prior to delivery

Seeing as how new 08's Enthusiasts are being advertised now for 25k due to the $1,500.00 back that Nissan is offering on the 350z till the end of the month, is my offer of 22k too low for this vehicle?

I only ask because the dealership looked at me like I slapped their mother when i told them 22k would be my offer, take it or leave it.

EDIT: i should add, they ended up saying no deal. but only after 3 days of constant emails from them and my constant reiteration that i would only be offering 22k.

22k is a pretty lowball offer. you don't get what you don't ask for, though, so it was worth a shot. if NEW are being advertised for 25k then you should be able to get one with 5k miles on it for a little less, but they will still try to push it as a "new" car.

They are advertising $25k on new '08 Enthusiast? For $25k why would you not just buy a new one? What was their asking price of the CPO one you looked it?

I'd just rather not pay 25k and take the depreciation loss as soon as i drive it off the lot, when i can just buy for 22k.

Asking price on the CPO one was originally listed at 25.9k. Their ebay ad has it for a Buy it Now price of 24.9k, and within initial emails, they offered 23.9k

it's a hell of a deal as is in my opinion. you are lowballing the F out of them and probably will not find a better deal until the 370z is released.

A used 2008 is too new to get any book price. $23,000 is reasonable to me.

I would tend to agree and think that $23 would be reasonable for you to ask for.

However, before that, you might want to consider why an '08 w/5k miles is already sitting on their lot again. Have you seen any service records for it? That would be one of my concerns seeing such a new car back on a dealer lot...

usually an indication that someone couldnt afford to keep it. though, I would still have it inspected by a mechanic prior to purchase.

Carfax indicates it was a corporate lease vehicle from out of state. its a 2008 model but was built and delivered in 2007.

if its certified, its been through the inspection. but im sure i can ask them to run it again.

Maybe after shopping for 4 years the 350Z is not for you.
