Default Is there something wrong with this Z?

I ran a carfax and it says that it was involved in a minor accident but it gave the carfax buy back guarantee. it doesn't look like the front bumper lines up correctly. anyone agree or have any insight with it? only silverstone i've found in the area.

not sure about the carfax buyback because i use autocheck
Check the fine print. You should always inspect the car with a 3rd party mechanic/shop because if there was an accident and it wasn't reported, then it would not be listed on the carfax.
and you may be right. It seems uneven.

after market front strut bar? that may be hitting the hood? The whole front end looks off actually....all the way around the lights, the hood, everything.....do not buy. Or, if you do, prepare to get some body work done.

Lights are painted and calipers are painted. Watch out the car has probably been ragged out, it probably had an aftermarket kit and rims on it.

yup, looks like the previous owner had some exterior changes, and changed it back to stock before selling

If you see that car again, pop the hood and look at the hood latch. There's some wiggle room on it which may explain the hood being slightly off. When I replaced my radiator bracket, I had to pull mine off and after reassembling, my hood was doing the very similar thing to what you see on the pictures above. It takes 5 minutes to fix that with a ratchet and a 10mm socket. Just loosen the bolts, adjust the latch by pushing it down slightly, tighten the bolts and see if the hood lines up better. That's all it takes most likely.

If you're seriously considering the car, put on a lift and have a mechanic look it over. My guess is the car was in a front crash which probably explains the front looking off because parts were taken out and replaced.

the carfax did state it was in a front end accident. it's a touring model but the rims don't match up either. i haven't seen it in person but am going to look at it today.

Hood-front bumper fit is poor.
