i didn't take the max up there cause it started smoking as i was coming out of my neighborhood so i just went back and rode in my dad's truck.

but they said if i had it w/ me and everything was working fine, they would have offered somewhere around 2k.

are you on the org by the way?

Yup I am part of the org 5th gen ---> Kevin319 is my username. I thought about modding my Maxima but since it was my first car and I know I am getting a new car in about a year or so I decided to keep it stock. Great information on the org site that you can't find here or maybe it's just me

deal fell through. the dealership ended up calling back but their offer was still not within our range. their final offer was $18,9xx plus tax, title, registration, etc.

looking at a potential 06 wrx this weekend.

I don't know if your looking for the bells and wistles, but I looked around for a few months and found an 07 base with 13k miles in pristine condition. I ended up purchasing it for 19 and change. I also test drove a new wrx, a used 07 wrx and a few g35 coupes. The wrx is an awesome car, but completely different. If you end up liking the rex, i'd wait a little and look for a slightly used 09 with the drastic increase in hp. After driving the used 07 and my friend 03 for years , I always loved these cars. The 09 however, handled and drove so much smoother and faster. I also love the look of the sedan, especially the dual exhaust. I'm sort of rambling, but I can tell your probably around my age, 22, and want something with kick and good looks. I liked the g35 coupe as well, especially the interior, but it didn't handle and drive like i hoped it would. I ended up limiting my options to the new wrx and a 350z 07 and up, after researching and personal experience. I highly recommend you do the same, as long as these options fit within your budget. Good luck with whatever you decide on

did you purchase your Z from a nissan dealer? i'm under a time constraint now, i just sold my max for dirt cheap due to a blown head gasket, needed new tires, and needed a whole front end suspension work.

i have been researching here and there but i have a limit. i'm not buying the car, parents are, and i will be helping w/ the down payment and monthly payments later on. I'm trying to find something under $20k.

As for the wrx, it has to be at least an 06. I heard they made major improvements in that year model and forward (2.5L T standard). i honestly don't like the looks of the new models, even the sti. the standard wrx just looks like a regular toyota coralla/camry almost. i think its hideous. i really don't care how well it performs i just can't see myself driving that car. I'm looking at an 06 wrx w/ about 53000 miles for $16,970 that just got listed but someone already freaken spoke for it. so i'm waiting on to see if the buyer is going to fall through or not. there is also an 07 wrx TR version a bit farther away, has about 44,000 miles going for $16800. i personally would rather get the 06 wrx over the TR just b/c of the stripped amenities. i wouldn't even call the TR a "stripped" version. Theres also a pending sale for an 05 STi w/ about 54000 miles going for 17,900 OBO. Still waiting and looking at that as well.

For the G35, i drove and even autocrossed one. If it were me, i would rather take a 350z over the G35. the z seems more solid, responsive. but, again, i have a limit.

i am 22 by the way

after much debating and what not, i ended up buying the z.
2003 touring coupe 6sp w/ about 16,6xx miles on it. although its not an 05 or 07 like everyone prefers, i'm still happy w/ it.
