Default Should I get this 350z In Vancouver?

Hello,

I'm looking for a used Nissan 350z in Vancouver, and found one online.
2003, 40k (kilometeres), Basic Model.

Went to see it and it's pretty imaculate, clean inside and out. The guy bought it from the US, had one re-call done on it, one previous owner. Had all the documentation. He seemed very genuine etc etc.

But I'm originally form the uk and the only concerning thing was no formal service history, when I bought a car in the Uk it came with a book showing stamps every time it was serviced. This car had none of that, he just said he had changed the oil every 5000 kilometers. (it has pretty much new tyres)

After looking at the manual certain things have been missed like lubricating the prop shaft, and I think certain other things like filter replacements.

Is this normal or should I expect a full stamped service history?
Price $17,500 ( canadian dollars ....in USD thats 15,167.69)
I'm tempted just to buy it anyway because it seems very well priced compared to whats around. And he seems like he takes good care of it (apart from lacking certain services).

Advice please.

Thanks,

for 17.5 you should be able to get a 2005 or 2006 with about the same miles atleast here in the states. I paid 19k for my 2004 base 5 years ago with 16k miles

Not sure about any stamps. I have a maintenance book, but never take the book with me when I have the car serviced.

Did you try carfax and autocheck?

Yea but thats alot higher mileage, and a fair bit more money?

Are high mileage cars acceptable here?

But I'm not sure if the stamps were just missed, he told me honestly that the only things he had done was replaced the windscreen due to a chip. Done a re-call. Replaced the tyres. And changed the oil every 5000k.

Does the fact that he missed certain things like lubricating the prop shaft...etc matter? with 40,000 kilometeres.

Bearing in mind at this price range in canada I'm looking at this or some much higher milage cars.

Thanks,

Its 40k miles, but regardless look at the links I posted...Canadian cars cost alot more...Lets look at a few examples:

2003, 78k on the clock, $22k

http://www.canadatrader.com/result/d...ritishcolumbia

Or a bit newer:

2005, 86k on the clock, $23, 850

http://www.canadatrader.com/result/d...ritishcolumbia

Thanks...Please take a look at the competition and tell me if you think its worth it.
