I would go with #1, black with leather with HR engine, I have a touring model and love the extras. Alot of the 06's have oil consumption problems, and deff get a manual. Dont pay over 20,500 for it though.

Thanks Peebles!
Do you mean 20,500 OTD price, or before taxes and DMV ? I dont think the dealer would go for 20,500 OTD... or maybe I am wrong ?

I mean 20500 for the car then + taxs and all the ******** dealer fees. Because they wont come down to far off of the Z.

Don't get an 06 - it might have an oil consumption problem. Read the sticky in the 03-08 engine section. You don't want to have to deal with that.

Depends. Not all the rev-up engines had oil consumption issues. However, I would tend to go with an HR engine at this point. FWIW, I have an 06 GT and love it.

The OP, one question. Have you ever owned a black car? If not, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into.

you must be lucky, when i was searching for my 3rd Z, the difference between DE/revup and HR Zs was well over 2K, no matter what part of the country. if #1 will go down to 21K, its clearly the best option; the most options, highest resale value, best color , and only 1K more than the cheapest one listed. thats my vote

correct. my 2006 doesnt. just go to any dealership and falsely inform them that you are about to purchase a 350Z and would like to come get the premium tuneup for the car at its next service interval. when the money signs go off in their eyes, they'll run the service record for you if you bring in the VIN, and you can see if it had any Nissan-performed work in terms of oil consumption, and any other work its been in for

Update everyone - got number 2# as it was from private and I liked the color!! So - I am now officially in the 350z club!! Now next steps - change the stock head unit to a navigation + Bluetooth + USB, and then rear spoiler !!

If your going to change the head unit go with a Pioneer with nav. Its worth the extra cash IMO. Im about to buy the Pioneer P4100 for mine.

Yep, got number 2 and loving every minute of it!
Upgraded the head unit and still looking for a OEM spoiler - shipping is like 50-70$ !! Didnt find a local one yet, or a reasonable price with free shipping..

i like 1 and 2. just remember that if you're buying used, be sure to get it inspected. if you do a google search for "used car inspections", you'll be able to find a handful of companies that offer the service. small price to pay for important knowledge about the vehicle. i personally would suggest aim mobile inspections, since they did a great job with my boyfriend's 350Z. hope that helps! happy shopping!
