is this a good deal on an 03 Track?
Hey everyone, ive been lurking around here for awhile and now finally looking to purchase my first Z. I have a massive obsession with Brembos and finally found an 03 Daytona Blue Track Z for sale locally. It has 52xxx miles and seems to be in pretty good condition. Iw ent to look at it yesterday and noticed that the hatch has dings.. The seller said that the garage door fell on it. Also, the carfax shows that the quarter panel has been in an accident. The seller was very honest and told me that it had been hit there, prior to me even saying anything. The body works looks good. The interior is mint and he recently installed a Kenwood 7" screen and upgraded all the speakers. It also has new brakes and tires. He is asking $15,000 but said he will take $13200 for it.
After doing alot of researching, I dont feel like I am getting the best deal possible. Its low miles, but I think I can score an 05 with low miles around that price. THe only thing is, it probably wont be a track model. Should I jump on this or settle on an 05 Touring model? All this influx of info between 06s with oil consumption, 05s being the best bang for buck etc etc is giving me a headache!

I would make doubly sure you know what you're looking at.
Get a mechanic that is a VQ/Z specialist and go back for a thorough look through.
What is the status of the rotors/pads, bushings, trans fluid, struts, etc...
most might need to be replaced (or maybe nothing).
What is your preferred pricepoint? Can you spend $16-7?
Try to go with an HR if you can.
I wouldn't go over $12.5 on the track. you'll need a thousand to make it perfect.

I bought my 03 track with 98,000 miles on it for $13,000 from a dealer 2 years ago. I say you should keep looking around. I wish I would have found mine with lower miles haha...
Good luck
