Default Visiting Dealer, What Should I Inspect Most Closely?

Heading to the dealership tomorrow, they have four z's in stock (that are manual hard top).

So yeah, basically to the z owners out there, what should I look out for, what are some warning signs I should know of?

Trim level and mileage as said! Also be sure to check the overall car over a couple of times. I can't tell you how many times, with cars I've bought and owned, you seem to notice 5x the flaws in the vehicle 72 hours after purchase. Don't know how excited you are to hop into a Z, but make sure you don't settle for anything less than you want! I went into the Z market wanting no less than touring. I wanted everything except Brembos, and ended up almost purchasing a silver 04 base model. It was a great car, but I'm so thankful the dealer didn't take my offer, because I ended up getting my 03 touring with LESS miles and in BETTER shape, for less money 3 weeks later. Just take your time - it's worth it.

We were able to tell that one of the cars I looked at was in a front end collision just by popping the hood. The bolts were stripped of paint

stay away from oil burners (research) test drive and make sure i stops nicely and doesn't need a clutch (test where the clutch engages). Check out the passenger window (make sure it works). Listen for clicks coming from the axles. Look for overspray ad make sure all the lines matchup. That's a good start!

Dealers generally do not stock modified cars but keep your eyes open:

Interior: Added electrical switches and aftermarket audio video navigation. Properly done these things are great. Unfortunately you cannot see ghetto wiring.

Engine bay: Any evidence of forced induction. Holes and bolts and brackets where something has been removed.
