Whats up guys. Ive been a member here but i dont actually own a Z. however, im planning on getting a Z within the next 1-2 weeks and ive found some deals on craigslist that im gonna take a look at this weekend. However seeing that a lot of u experienced Z owners give good advice, i might as well ask u guys what u think about these cars i have in mind

1st link is to a 2003 Z with 44k miles selling for 12k. Clean title. Idk y but i have a feeling that the odometer might have been messed with cuz that is seriously underriden considering the year. When i spoke to him, he had mentioned that he could have done that if he wanted to but he didnt. Thats def a warning sign for me.

2nd link is to a 2006 Z that has 77k miles and is selling for 12800 OBO. It has one owner and is "adult" driven. The ad seems legit and the car is very clean. I can prolly talk the guy down and get it cheaper but my concern at this point is reliability

The red 2006 Z gets my vote with the upgradeds headlights and tail lgihts in addition to the rev-up motor and anniversary wheels. I'm not entirely sure but does this Z have the oem brembos? I can't really tell from the photos.

i doubt it. he probably would have mentioned it in the ad. the only thing about the red z is that the miles are pretty high considering the year. 77k for a 5 year old car seems too much. my 2003 acura TL has 79k miles...


i posted up a new link for the 2nd Z. the guy already dropped price 400 bucks so now its at 12800 OBO. link has bigger pictures of the car. really clean car

I just sold my 04 Enthusiast with 18,000 miles to a dealership for $13500. I advertised it at $15500 and couldn't get any bites. Wish these things had better resale value. I let mine sit in the garage for the last 6 years and it still has no book value.

Only thing that caught my attention was the color of the grille. Maybe its the reflection but it looks painted to me. The pictures are in crappy quality, so its hard to tell.

for option 1, the car was in fact repainted. the current owner bought the car off an old lady who had some type of back injury and didnt drive the car for a while. apparently some tree branch fell on top of the car and hit the hood and bumper. the current owner bought the car off of her and had it all repainted. the fact that he told me this without me asking helped with trusting him a little more.

i just spoke to the guy selling option 2 and he is selling the car for some dentist who used to drive it before. the guy who made the ad doesnt really know anything about Z's so he is just putting **** on the ad to make it look good. also, the car is now 3 hours away from me since the guy moved 2 days ago and took the car with him. im not even considering the car anymore cuz its just not worth the drive.

what do u guys think of option 1 for the time being? im gonna keep checking and im hoping that by saturday i get to look at 3-4 Z's atleast with option 1 being my top choice.

I would keep looking imo. Try to search for something that hasnt been in any accidents or owned by a woman lol. jk

The thing about option one is color matching, especially with a tree falling on it and getting repainted. Definitely check it out in person to see if anything is off or something doesnt add up.
