Hey guys, I've been looking at buying a 350Z for a while but just now thought to join a forum to get some info :P I just have a couple questions. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

1) Would it be a better idea in your opinion to buy a newer(2008) 350Z and TT it myself after I pay the car off, or buy an older one already TTed? What I'm trying to say is, do these cars typically become a headache when TTed?

2) In your opinion, what is the best balanced package for the 350z? Besides the Nismo of course. I'm looking to spend no more than $22-23k.

the answer will be determined by what you drove previously/currently.

if rsx = get 2008 get to learn the car and then tt after payed off

if you have good experience with a powerful car then get already built.

not trying to be a dick, just dont want to see another thread with a totaled Z that killed the driver / passenger or possibly others.

 

I understand and since you put it that way, i agree. I drive a v6 charger at the moment, so I should probably wait to do anything to the z when i get it.

edit: 2 more things:

1) How did you guys do your insurance after you tted your car?

2) is there any way to change these settings so the posts go from top to bottom instead of the opposite?

The money, time, headache, blood, sweat, and tears invested in TT'ing a car will never be recovered. That being said, if that is something you are prepared for, it is a fun journey. While I feel as though I would enjoy the project, work, and experience, it would just not be worth it for me to TT my car. Buy one from someone who has already ironed out all the wrinkles, spent the money, and lost the value through depreciation. THEN take it slow and get used to the car.
