Curiosity About a 350z
I know that we really shouldn't post about buying, but i only know one person with a z, and would like more info. I have found 2003 z with 35,xxx miles for about 15g's, and also a 06 z with 64,xxx miles for 15g's also...i've researched a lot about them..but wanted to see what you people had to think. Are these good deals? Also which one better? etc? Thank you.

I've done my research! But it's good to have OPINIONS also! Sorry, i don't know as much as you or others considering you own one! It was just a simple question as to how to really find out which one is better as what to look for, what brakes down easiest, etc? ive done research as i started but wanted opinions!

As thank you other two for the nicer info or input, that last message isn't intended for you guys. But a simple question of opinions shouldn't be answered with "look it up" as im asking for you guys opinion on what to look for and etc.

If there was a link to the specific cars online, we could have offered something like - "That's the 06 Nismo version, it's good because you'll have the Nismo VLSD and suspension for improved handling, but you're probably going to run into oil consumption issues with that year vehicle, that mileage is really high, and it looks like the previous owner made some cheap/ricer mods, so it may have been a young guy that beat it up." - etc. If that's the type information that you're looking for, we have the knowledge to provide it, but you have to do enough of the homework yourself to provide us an idea of specifically what you're looking at.
The frustration from some of the folks above comes from the fact that you didn't take the time and effort to provide us with a wealth of detail and information, but were asking complete strangers to take time to look up and provide you with a wealth of detail and information back. Albeit that some of the responses were not friendly and inviting to a potential new member, that's where the "do you own homework" types of responses come from and why people may respond that way.
Good luck, OP. If you come back with detailed information about the car that you're looking at (VIN, model, pictures, online links, etc), we'll be happy to help out. Also, browse through the "Sticky Threads" in each major section and read there. That will give you a good jumping off point for learning about the different years, models, etc. Then, you can use the "Search" button at the top to search for things like "2003 Enthusiast" or "2003 Touring Automatic" to find information for yourself.

Ill share my opinion. Despite the prices the older one with less miles is priced a bit high. The 06 is higher mileage but has updated headlights, tails, larger brakes, nicer wheels, more hp, and some interior enhancements...AND may have or had an oil consumption problem to which Nissan may have or need to replace the engine...check on that definitely. Me personally id go with the 06 even with the mileage. Also, what trim are they? An 06 at that price may be a base model, and the other at that price may be a track or gt...

Our point is the opinions youre looking for pop up in search as these first time car buyer threads pop up multiple times, each and every day.
Give it a few years, youd be annoyed too. DOnt get mad and start using "!" all over the place... its a community. If it was real life and there were two lines, one for searched valuable threads and one for threads such as this.. and you cut in the front of our line and busted out your subject... wouldnt it make sense we'd all look at you funny and say GTFO and point to your line?
Same deal. use the links provided and research your car like every other car buyer does, read the forum stickies, google things like MODEL YEAR CHANGES etc. or 350z known problems.. cmon man.
