Default 08 Grand Touring 6MT + NAV or 370Z Base + Sport?

I found a 08 GT model 6MT + Nav that I am interested in. My option 2 would be buy a 370z Base + Sport for few grand more. Should I get the 350Z GT or the 370Z?

Upside to the 350Z is it's pretty much decked out and I'd have more $ off the bat to start doing audio work. Downside could be it may seem dated?

370Z is newer but I think I'd only want to get a Base + Sport due to $$$ and I'd be more limited to modding until next year.

Hahaha that's funny.

And this is a silly post. Find a car you can afford and go from there. Leather this, LSD that, all you need is a car to start from and upgrade from there. If you worried about having a car that's "dated" but you worried about a few thousand more for a new one, I think your priorities are mistaken. Get what you can afford and go from there. The z car is never dated. Example: 300zx turbo. Badass car... I wouldn't worry too much about anyones opinion, don't overthink it and get what fits you. When you start asking others for their opinion, you're aiming to please everyone but yourself!!

Yea I am leaning towards the 350z Grand Touring right now. I'd also have more $ to do mods right away. ;o

How much should I offer dealers for one? I've found several for around 24-28k sticker. Also the car is in another state and is from a Nissan dealer. Is it safe and worth the hassle to buying out of state since I can't find a 350Z GT in state?

Depends how much of a deal you get and how far you have to go to find the car you want. Way back in the day in 2004, I wanted a 2003 Silver Track ed. 350z. None available in NM especialy at the price point I was looking, but found one priced right in PHX, Az. I bought a 120$ one way ticket, dealer met me at the airport and we drove to the dealership and did the paperwork. Had a fun 6 hour road trip in my new Z back home.
