Default Looking for help acquiring VPP #

Hey Folks,

I have been a member of the board for 3 years since buying my Z back in 2008. Based upon countless posts I have read here, I'm looking to trade up on a new one (actually my 1st was a '73 240 I bought back in '86). From earlier posts by other forum members, many of you know that Nissan is offering employee pricing for VPP through the end of September. I can usually negotiate a pretty good deal when buying a car. However, trading in my Z with what I believe is a very good price, coming back with a VPP number to the sales manager keeps the numbers much cleaner.

Since I don't work for an affiliate or a partner, I appreciate any assistance you can provide me in helping track down a number.

Best regards,
John

"For a limited time, August 2nd through September 30th 2011, you can purchase a new Nissan or Infiniti vehicle at our lowest pricing available. Employee pricing, usually reserved for employees only, is being extended to ALL. If you've been thinking about purchasing a new vehicle, now is the time to make it happen, because you won't find a better offer on a new Nissan or Infiniti car, truck or SUV".

Been reading about VPP for 7 years, and not convinced it is a good deal. Several members have credited VPP with savings on a new Z, but I have never seen a Bill of Sale.

We have seen several "limited time only" sales from Nissan. I believe they are simply a marketing ploy.

Here is the link on the Nissan website explaining the details

I originally interpreted the promotion as anyone could take advantage of the Employee Pricing. However, I spoke to a sales manager at the dealership and although he confirmed that all VPP numbers are eligible for this pricing through the end of September, you need at VPP number of any kind to qualify. I hope this helps people who are interested in purchasing a new Nissan over the next month.
