Default New to California, New to USA, and want to buy 350Z

Hey folks,

Just relocated from 8000 miles away month and a half ago, and finally came up with the funds to get another car (My car back home is an MKIV supra).

I don't have much money, so I'm looking at a salvage title, 2003 350z with around 60k miles. The seller says that there was no frame damage, so I would have to go and double check (either looking at new screws / paint job), and asking for the crash pictures.

Anyways, long story short, the car is being sold for $8000 on CL, do you think it would be a good buy? The outside looks like it's in "fair" condition, but I like the fact that it's low mileage. I plan on keeping this Z for a long time, since once I sell my supra I'll be going TT with a body kit and rims, and maybe even a brand new paint job.

Thanks!
John

You hid a buying advice thread in the Maintenance & Repair forum. That is why you are getting little attention.

and you gave it 45 mins?

also, save your money and buy one that doesn't have a salvage title? it's less you will have to worry about. Any purchase starting out cheap because you didnt have enough money will cost more down the road...

As others have said, you put it in the wrong forum section and you barely gave anytime for a response.

I personally wouldn't buy a salvaged title but I believe their are mechanics or body experts that you can hire to inspect the car before purchase.

If I were you, I would just continue to save-up.

Okay sorry about that lol... I actually ended up buying another salvage title Z, and looked at carfax history and the car itself, it was a silver 2003 350z with light damage (no frame damage), touring edition, with 81k miles. It cost me 8500, which is all I can afford right now, but I think it was a good buy. Thanks guys, and next time I'll try to ask questions in the right place....

Peace!

Well, I ended up buying a salvage Z that didn't need new diff bushings, and better exterior. You should know better than I that not everything boils down to just mileage and money
