Default About buying a 05 350Z (need advice)

Hi,

I plan to buy a 05 350Z auto-trans which is around 107,000 mile. The price is $9500. I wrote the mail to ask dealer and they replied that no accident. I will go to see this car tomorrow. But there's few common issues makes me hesitant such as tire issue, wheels issue, and transmission issue. Therefore, the question is:

1) Should I buy this car with 107k mile and does it worth me to pay $9500?
2) when I go to see this car, how do I find out those common issues and other issues I need to focus on?
3) I found some people has clutch problems in their 350Z manual transmission, how about the auto transmission, is it also has this kind of problem?

I really like this car, however, those issues really bother me and consider to buy it or not. Could any one give me advice?
Thanks

just make sure everything is in working condition and the fluids are at the right amount. Look for scratches/imperfections so you know what you can fix in the future, start the car and listen for unordinary sounds, tire tread thickness, etc.

A better idea would be to take it to get inspected before you buy it, preferably a AAA because they offer a 100+ point inspection for about $90 if you are a member. You could even take it to a Nissan Dealer. There are many other places that will give this type of inspection and is definitely worth it. I never buy a car unless it passes this inspection with nothing more than a few minor things wrong.

Welcome.

A vehicle with 100,000 miles will require more upkeep than one with 50,000 miles. You will pay a premium for the vehicle with 50,000 miles, but less for maintenance.

So pay now (price) or pay later (maintenance costs). No free lunch.

Thank you your advice. I am AAA member and I am not a really racing guy. The only thing I want to buy Z is because of a dream that 1. driving a sport car in my whole life and 2. having good time in driving and hang out with my GF. So I don't want it broken when my GF and I on the highway....this would be so embarrassed. Forgive my bad language cauz I am a foreigner. Last time we go to test drive another Z, my GF told me she really likes the sound when it start. Davidv gave me the really good advice, No free lunch, That's the main point. I ask my friend who really know about the car to go to test drive with me , So I think it would be fine to test and negotiation the price. I will post you later if I buy this one. Thanks a lot.

The 350Z is not for everyone. Have you looked at the RSX. You get performance AND reliability in a single package.

So, have you seen the car's condition? Is it good and worth buying?
