I have been looking to buy a late model 350z or early 370z for months now. It will be my DD until the winter months, it will be in my garage while I drive my FWD car during the snowy and crappy months. I plan on boosting during the winter months, installing everything at home and eventually getting it towed and tuned.
I found a 2008 White 350z listed as a base model with ~50k miles for 24,000. After looking at the pictures, it appears to have VDC and controls on the steering wheel so I am thinking they made a mistake when they posted it as a base.
The other one that peaked my interest is a 2009 Blue 370z with~24k miles and listed for 25,000.
In order to be in my price range, what I want to pay monthly, the white 350z would have to be talked down roughly $1000 and the blue 370z will have to be talked down $3000.
Both have clean a clean car fax and both seem to be a good deal. Which does everybody think would be a better deal? Both are around the same for insurance (might be around a 20 dollar difference monthly), both can be financed for 5 years with the same interest from my insurance company. The 370z was quoted at roughly 2230 dollars to get it tagged and registered, I am assuming the 350z is right around that price too. Obviously I will test drive before making any decisions, but for conversation sakes lets pretend they both drive incredibly and there is nothing wrong with either.
Which would you go after? Links below.![dunno](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

the white one sounds way too expensive.
Id have to check the 370 but that sounds more reasonable and a better deal to me, but its still up to you in the end.

The 370, based on what you mentioned, seems like a better deal plus the 370 is a more refined car and just a little bit faster.
The only reason I'd get the 350 is because, in my opinion, it is the better-looking car but overall the 370 seems to be a better deal (plus it's blue and blue is awesome)

I would make a 3rd option and keep searching. A 350z with less miles can be had for a lot cheaper. I'm not too familiar with 370z pricing but that doesn't seem like too bad of a price. If you're in a rush, I would pick that 370z but otherwise, you could probably find a 350z Nismo for about 24k.

Trim wise, I'd say get the 350z Touring because that 370z is the crappiest trim you can get.
However, price wise, you can get an 08 for much cheaper w/ that many miles. For reference, I got my 07 last summer with 10k miles and it had factory Navi + touring for 25k. That 350Z you listed is 5x the mileage on a 1 year newer, and minus navi which cancels out being 1 year newer. I'd say it's worth about 21k to me.
IMO, search for a Grand Touring 07-08 if you are going for a 350z. They can be found for < $24k w/ fair mileage and you'll get the RAYS wheels which are siiiiiick on a Z, brembos, and likely will come with Navi.
In your situation, I'd say why not settle for the highest trim on a previous gen vs the lowest on a 1st year model base 370z?

I know for sure the 350 is overpriced, way way over priced in fact, I was relying on being able to talk them down especially after I show them numerous print outs and examples of cars around the country that are way more reasonable.
I was really trying to buy somewhere semi-locally, that is why they two stuck out, they are maybe a 3-4 hours drive from where I live. My father is cosigning so having something shipped to my area from a coastal state, is something he is really not too fond of. No point in pushing it because he is helping me out after all with the cosigning.
As far as the trim levels go, I do miss out on a bbk but intend to buy a stoptech kit when it is stored and being worked in the winter anyways. The Rays are iffy to me, not too fond of the way they look. The navigation and head unit would be getting replaced within a month or so anyways for an aftermarket one.
I thank you all for your input, I really do. I am gunning for the 370 just because the mileage is so low and the price is nice, and I love the color. Throwing some 20 or 15 percent tint with some Enkei Raijin's and tinted tails, sounds like class to me. If these two fall through and don;t end up working out, I have waited for months already, I am in no hurry to spend the hard earned money. No rush

I wouldn't settle for a base 370Z. Keep looking, as you said patience is key. Better deals are out there, just have to keep looking. In that price range you can easily find a 350Z touring at a much lower price and have plenty of money left to upgrade and boost.
