So after looking online for over 8 hours I found one, what do you guys think: 2005 Enthusiast Roadster, 6Speed manual, Red with 654XX miles. This one comes with 2 year/100000 mile warranty on the power train included for 17840. After talking to the dealer he was able to give me a quote over the phone for my car in which I was honest about the condition of my current vehicle. It is a far drive to this car, but I'm willing.

I would look for something with lower miles.

Mines a 2004 Touring Coupe, the price was $14,000 only had 40K miles and perfect.

Also keep in mind, gas prices are rising; likely to hit $5 this summer. The Z avg around 270 (Local)-330(Highway/Local)-360(Highway) miles a tank @ roughly 16-17 gallon fill-ups. You'll be paying about ~$80 per fill-up this summer. Drive a lot? That's about $400 a month just on gas.

Insurance on the Z? That all depends, but you are still in college so I'm assuming you aren't > 25 so you will be paying the expensive rate. I was avging about $900 a year while in college but I had a pretty clean driving record and I was in a family plan. Some ppl can pay as much as $2-3000 a year on insurance alone, which being conservative puts it ~$250 a month.

And you are limiting yourself to an 04-05, which is a 7-8 year old vehicle. It's bound to have issues. You'll need more $ set aside to maintain it vs having a newer car.

So unless you got good amt of funds every month, a Z may not be a very financially intelligent choice for you.

I bought an 05 touring 6spd for 14,000 before taxes and **** that had 25,070 miles and only had a key job on one side,(which my dealer in MI would fix for $575). These guys are dicks and are ripping you off.

I've called lots a dealers and had many a-h0les pull crap. There are better deals, and some that can even be found in MI. That Z with a tranny with no issues isn't worth 17,000 with a warranty. Like some ppl said, you can have a 07+ a few g's more. Hell i saw one in chicago that was an black 08 6 spd burnt orange interior Z for 19,000 with a warranty. Wait and you'll be happy.

You shop for a year? Man, I shopped for 7 years now and I just bought mine today

Anyways, OP just ignore the dealership and past on that car. You can find a way better Z if you're patient just like me. I keep thinking to myself that, "That's the Z for me and that is what I want right now". But, than there are other better Z's out there so I wait and waited. Now I have finally found one that is pretty much what I want and OMG, it looks awesome and drives great with aftermarket suspensions, lip kits, wheels, and a CIA. Plus, it's a 35th Ani. 350Z too. The car was worth around $18K and if added with all those little tasty aftermarket stuff that are worth around $5K which everything is totaled into $22k but I got a great bargain car at a price of $16k only.

You will find a good one man, just keep searching. Good luck!

$5 gas? WOAHHHH...are they going to go down later on then??? I hope so. But, if that's how the damn people wants to charge us for gas price than I am going to have to keep my old Corolla warming up again.

Im not too worried about the price of insurance since it would only go up by five bucks, I will only buy this if they give me a two year warranty for a bit more. Honestly my smart/mature side is saying NO, but my inner kid is ready to buy it today. I donno we'll see how it runs/what kind of tranny they put in and what they can offer me. Thanks for all the help.

As for the $5 dollars for gas, I feel like that has been said in the past and at least in my area has never happened, and lets hope it never does.

Oh I see. Car plus 20 percent interest over several years builds credit. Smart move. I may have fallen off the back of a turnip truck but not yesterday.

350Z as your only car in Michigan!?? You do realize that the Z is pretty much a deathsled on wheels on any kind of snowy surface, right?
